Lea Porsager Moderna Museet i Stockholm

The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) supports the creative development of artists and curators, and promotes exchange through residencies and public programs. Housed in a former factory in Brooklyn, with 35 light-filled work studios, two galleries, and a project space, ISCP is New York’s most comprehensive international visual arts residency program, founded in 1994. ISCP 12 January 2021: Lea Porsager. Lea Porsager lives and works in Copenhagen. She is a sculptor but also a filmmaker, writer and researcher, and has participated in exhibitions such as Documenta 13 (2012) and the 14th Istanbul biennial (2015).

These are questions that drive Lea Porsager’s exhibition ”STRIPPED”. We are immersed into a kind of techno-industrial cemetery: ”G.O.D. [GENERATOR.ORGANIZER. DESTROYER]”, three windmill wings, sliced into pieces. Lea Porsager, ATU XI 'LUST', 2015, 11 aligning struts, dimensions variable. There was a mature simplicity to Lea Porsager’s intervention at Nils Stærk’s project space, Mellemrummet.
